Intent

The Vision, Values and Drivers that Shape the Curriculum

Underpinning our Vision and Values, we have the following aims:

• We believe that we should provide a happy and safe learning community in which we nurture every child who is valued as a unique individual.
• We believe that everyone should be immersed in exciting, challenging learning through the delivery of inspirational and innovative opportunities.
• We believe that everyone should be inspired to achieve their full potential now and for the future.

The Curriculum Drivers

The main curriculum driver that will shape our curriculum is ‘Reach for the Stars’ – this is about possibilities and allowing children to have high aspirations for the future – it drives all of the curriculum areas.

So that our curriculum is suitable for the pupils that attend we also have other areas that feed into the main driver.  This reflects that the school recognises that it takes more than just skills and knowledge to get on in life.
